ACHIEVE Waterbury, CT (Established 2009)
ACHIEVE Kids Tri opened it's first camp in Waterbury, Connecticut in 2010, made possible by a seed grant from USAT. Working in partnership with the Greater Waterbury YMCA, ACHIEVE successfully trained 29 youth athletes at the downtown YMCA, preparing them for the camp-ending race at beautiful Camp Mataucha. Under the leadership of camp director and head coach Susanne Navas, assisted by a dedicated group of assistant coaches and volunteers, all the youth athletes successfully completed the program and the race since 2010. ACHIEVE is looking forward to continuing this success in 2013.

Thanks to a generous grant by USA Triathlon, ACHIEVE Waterbury kicked off with one camp 2010 and was such a success that it will return in 2011. ACHIEVE Waterbury is possible thanks to the hard efforts of founder Susanne Navas and the beneficial partnership with the YMCA of Greater Waterbury. The YMCA facility provided all of the necessary space and resources to allow the ACHIEVE athletes to effectively train for their first triathlon.
